Gerhard Weikum bestowed with the 2021 Konrad Zuse Medal by the German Informatics Society

The Zuse Medal is the highest award for computer science in Germany. Gerhard was chosen for his "proven achievements in the areas of distributed information systems, performance optimi­zation of database systems, information extraction and knowledge processing."
