The Max Planck Institute for Software Systems studies the principles of efficient, dependable, secure, and usable computing systems, as well as their interaction with the physical and social context in which they operate.

The CISPA Helmholtz Center for Information Security is a German national Big Science Institution within the Helmholtz Association. Our research encompasses all aspects of Information Security.

In 2022 the Max Planck Institute (MPI) for Informatics in Saarbrücken (Germany) and Google established a strategic partnership: the “Saarbrücken Research Center for Visual Computing, Interaction and Artificial Intelligence (VIA)” at the MPI for Informatics.

The Max Planck Center for Visual Computing and Communication (MPC-VCC) was established by the Max Planck Society for the Advancement of Science (MPG) and Stanford University in October 2003 recognizing the high potential of a mutually beneficial cooperation between Stanford and MPG in the field of Visual Computing and Communication and recognizing the desire of the scientists of the parties to conduct joint research.
